Ettas

A sad tune flowed from a whistle long, long ago. That whistle, unlike many others, could summon children from other worlds, with a sad tune.

That summon was called, or so they say, a Whisper. And sometimes, a Whisper was hard to find. But when it was found, it was something that everyone could see, and everyone wanted to be.

That whistle that created Whispers was said to have been thrown into the Great Sea, never to be seen again. And it must have never been seen again, because the silver that made it must have rusted, and fallen apart by now.

On the sea, a girl in a long white dress sat for tea with her father. She laughed, and smiled with her father, looking down at the blue waters bellow her. She, as young as she was, was so sure that nothing could be more peaceful.

Until the storm blew in. The girl looked fearful as she held onto the railing of the small ship for her life. She watched her father go over bored, and screamed his name as she fell into the sea.

She sank down into the depths, and when she surfaced, a silver whistle in her tiny hands, she swam to shore, stranded on an island.
